2025

NCT Alliance continued its expansion with the launch of NCT InnoSphere in Kedah and Ion Borneo Garden in Sabah, strengthening its presence across key regional markets. During the year, master planning works for Ion Marina Bay progressed, while additional phases of Ion Belian Garden were successfully handed over. NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) completed Phase 1 infrastructure works and received a 5-Diamond Rating under the Low Carbon Cities 2030 Challenge. NCT InnoSphere achieved GreenRE Silver Provisional Certification, and NCT Alliance was recognised with the GPM Sustainability Award – Project of the Year, reflecting the Group’s continued focus on sustainability and ESG practices.

2024

NCT Alliance progressed its hospitality portfolio through a collaboration with Hard Rock International to introduce Asia Pacific’s highest Hard Rock Cafe at Wyndham Grand Ion Majestic Hotel, Genting Highlands. The Group also expanded its landbank through a strategic acquisition in Penampang, Sabah, and launched The Road to NCT Junior Badminton Championship as part of its community engagement initiatives.

2023

The Group expanded its development portfolio with the addition of Acacia Residences, NCT Smart Industrial Park, and Ion Belian Garden. This year, NCT Alliance received multiple industry recognitions, including five awards from the Malaysia Book of Records, as well as awards from The Star Media Group’s Malaysia Developers Awards, ASEAN Property Awards, Malaysian Brand Award, and iProperty Awards.

2021

The Group executed three key corporate exercises to strengthen its position in property development, including the acquisition of Grand Ion Majestic and Grand Ion Delemen in Genting Highlands. During the year, the Group also completed a private placement exercise and rebranded from Grand-Flo Berhad to NCT Alliance Berhad, marking a new phase of growth.

2020

As part of its strategic realignment, Grand-Flo Berhad divested its enterprise data collection and collation system (EDCCS) businesses, fully exiting the segment to concentrate on property development as its core focus.

2019

Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy and Dato’ Joe Yap Fook Choy completed the acquisition of Grand-Flo Berhad, an IT-related company with property development interests. Following the takeover, the Group began repositioning its business focus towards property development.

2013

In 2013, NCT was appointed to rehabilitate Billion Court, Pahang’s largest abandoned project at the time. Despite the project’s challenging terrain and site conditions, the rehabilitation was successfully completed, enabling its transformation into a tourism-focused destination in Genting Highlands.

2012

NCT strengthened its position as a project rehabilitation specialist when it was appointed by the Malaysian Government to restore Bandar Salak Tinggi, the country’s largest recovery project at the time. The project was successfully rehabilitated within three years, delivering residential units comprising double-storey houses, 2½-storey terrace houses and medium-cost apartments.

2000

NCT expanded into construction, real estate and building materials with the establishment of NCT Building & Civil Engineering Sdn Bhd. Over the years, the Group completed more than RM10 billion worth of contracts and built its reputation as a White Knight developer through the successful rehabilitation and completion of abandoned projects, including La Cottage, Sepang, as well as rectification and completion works for major housing developments.

1997

By 1997, NCT Tiling had established itself as the biggest tiling company in Malaysia. The company’s reputation for quality products and timely delivery resulted in various business deals with prominent developers.

1985

In 1985, Dato’ Sri Yap Ngan Choy founded NCT. The company quickly established itself as a leader in the supply and installation of tiles for property projects, with a strong emphasis on high-quality, value-added craftsmanship and service.

Restoring Developments. Rebuilding Confidence.

NCT Group's approach to development has been shaped by its experience in rehabilitating abandoned and complex projects. Over time, this has positioned the Group as a trusted white knight, recognised for restoring developments and rebuilding confidence where decisive intervention is required.

This identity was formed through the Group's early involvement in project rehabilitation, beginning with the restoration of the La Cottage development in Sepang. It was subsequently reinforced through landmark recovery efforts such as Bandar Salak Tinggi, then Malaysia's largest abandoned development, and Billion Court in Genting Highlands. Through these projects, NCT Group became known for restoring long-term viability to complex developments.

Beyond physical completion, NCT Group approaches recovery with a broader responsibility in mind. Each rehabilitation effort is guided by the objective of ensuring long-term relevance, addressing environmental and operational considerations, and enabling developments to continue serving their surrounding communities in a sustainable and future-ready manner.
